Welcome

For most of my adult life I have had one recurring dream. Not a nightmare, just an intriguing dream. And perhaps somewhat premonitory: I am, in different scenarios, (dreams do that) about to fail my High School math final. I didn't in real life, but just by a hair. I did actually fail miserably my college math final in Geneva.

In retrospect, the best I can figure this is that I was never cut out for math or science, for which I hold the greatest of respect by the way.

Although I never much thought about art prior to my coming to the states, I have thought of little else since. Artistic and scientific minds mingle, cross paths, but essentially go about it, that is life, in different if not opposite ways. It's not about whose better at it, it's about which are you better at.

There are also more ethereal matters such as faith, calling and destiny. But down here on the ground which usually are determined by others after we pass. Meanwhile as an artist, you go out on a limb, bear your soul while you go about creating your own world.

And to what end, to find inner peace, happiness, fulfillment? But what is the artist's contribution? Or perhaps on a loftier level: mission.

Well, it's definitely not about the meaning of or the road to supreme consciousness. I believe that on an earthlier plane we can create emotional responses from the viewer. We can communicate and tell a story. And to me this is a worthwhile goal: stimulating imagination.

Although not apparent, we live in extremely exciting times. Creatively, just look at the arts: movies and music as well as painting and photography. And maybe long after we pass, this period, the early XXlst. Century will be remembered as the second renaissance. We're due for one as it is.

Enjoy the site, have fun, and don't let anybody tell you what you should do.

We always look for answers to life, but never ask ourselves, was there ever a question.

the Artist

Boris Bezroukov's journey is a tapestry woven with threads of diverse experiences and unwavering passion for art. Born in Iran to Russian immigrants, he embarked on a life's odyssey that traversed continents and disciplines, ultimately finding his true calling in the world of art.

Educated across prestigious institutions, Boris honed his skills in art and anthropology, earning degrees from the University of California at Santa Cruz and The New School in New York. His insatiable curiosity led him to also acquire a Master of Science degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.

Boris's professional path meandered through various landscapes, from the culinary realm under Dino DeLaurentiis to a stint in finance, until he found his niche as an Art Director at a prominent advertising firm in Atlanta. Subsequently, he ventured into entrepreneurship, founding his own company "And," which crafted a diverse range of products in Kentucky.

Love knows no borders, and it was in Florida that Boris met his soulmate, Catalina, a Colombian native. Together, they journeyed to Los Angeles, where they nurtured their family and opened "Boris Artistry in Framing."

Through it all, Boris's heart remained steadfastly devoted to art. Sculpture, photography, and multi-dimensional expressions served as his creative palette. However, it was the marriage of traditional forms with the burgeoning digital medium that ignited a new artistic frontier for Boris. Harnessing the magic of computers alongside his classical techniques, he embarked on a quest to manifest his singular vision in the ever-evolving landscape of art.

“A great piece of art should speak for itself”
